Banana Oat Protein Pancakes

 

I've been on a lil weight loss journey this year, and have been cooking a lot. My main thing with cooking is looking at my favourite food and finding ways to make them higher in protein or lower in calorie. My blog isn't going to become a weight loss page, but if I make something really tasty, and it happens to be lower in calorie, I'm going to share it because I have struggled to find meals I like on this journey of mine.

One of my favourite breakfasts is Pancakes, and not to toot my own horn, but I make excellent pancakes. So I made a lower calorie protein version of them. These pancakes are only 475 calories and delicious. You can add extra fruit on top with maple syrup like I did, but that will increase the calories.

Recipe:
1 Banana,
½ cup Porridge Oats
50g Protein Pancake Mix
1 large Egg
Splash of Milk (any milk of choice)
½ tsp Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Dash of Cinnamon
Dash of Salt

Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until you get a smooth batter. Fry your pancakes in a little bit of oil or low calorie spray. This batter makes 5 pancakes.
