Pizza Bagels

You only need a few ingredients to make this quick and easy dish.

The great thing about a pizza bagel is you can add any topping that your heart desires, in any combination you see fit.  Not a fan of tomato sauce? Do a BBQ base or a white sauce. Don't like chicken? Try ham or Turkey or even meatballs. The choices are endless.

Ingredients:

Bagel, cut in half

Pepperoni slices

Salami slices

Red onion slices

Tomato purée

Mozzarella cheese

Grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese mix

Mixed herbs

 

 Method

Like you would a pizza, cover the base in your sauce of choice. I then sprinkled on mixed herbs for some flavour. You can also sprinkle some on top afterwards too.

I used fresh mozzarella and grated cheese mix because I wanted different textures.

 Finish off with your toppings. I went for salami, pepperoni, red onion and sweetcorn.

I made my bagels in initially in the air fryer, but most of the toppings fell off. 

Carefully place your bagel halves in the air fryer.

Cook at 160C fan/180C depending on how your air fryer cooks, for 5–8 minutes. You want your cheese all melted and your toppings to have browned a bit. Check it every so often to make sure it doesn't burn.

 

 I remade this after this attempt and much prefer them in the oven. None of the toppings fell off. I cooked the pizza bagels at 180C/160C Fan.
