Sometimes homemade is best. And that is definitely the case with this lemonade.
It is simple to make, with only a few ingredients, and is super refreshing.
Ingredients:200g Granulated Sugar (sugar syrup)250ml Water (sugar syrup)250ml Lemon Juice750ml to 1 litre Still Water I
needed quite a few lemons because the ones I had just weren't juicy
enough and quite small. But I think 4-6 big lemons will give you all the
juice you need. You could also substitute still water for sparkling water for the fizzy lemonade vibe.
Method:
In a saucepan add the water and sugar. Dissolve the sugar into the water over a low heat. Once the sugar has dissolved remove from the fire. Leave the sugar syrup to the side to cool. You could always make the sugar syrup the night before.
Juice your lemons.
In a tall jug, pour in the lemon juice and sugar syrup and stir.
Top off the lemon syrup with your water of choice. Stir again until the syrup and water are mixed. Make sure the water is cold. If it's not cold, you can put the lemonade in the fridge to chill.
Throw some ices cubes in and some lemon slices into the jug.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
The lemonade can keep for 5 to 7 days in the fridge. When I make this, it doesn't even last the day.
