Flapjacks are a favourite from my childhood. These are sweet, buttery, oaty blocks of goodness.
Ingredients:
175g Unsalted Butter
125g Light Soft Brown Sugar
150g Golden Syrup
325g Rolled Oats
Grease and line a baking tin and preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan.
In a bowl, weigh out the oats.
On a low to medium heat, melt the butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan until the mixture becomes smooth and starts gently bubbling.
Take off the heat and pour on top of the oats. Stir until fully combined.
Pour the mixture in to the baking tin and press down until compact.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges have browned.
Leave to cool complete, preferably overnight.
