HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This is one of my favourite times of the year.
I wanted to do a quick and fun bake for Halloween. I saw this cool idea from the Baking Explorer (Kat) of some Graveyard cupcakes.
I cheated a little and used Betty Crocker Devil's Food box mix for the cupcakes. I crumbled up a cupcake to make the mud. I then cut some penguin biscuits in half to make the gravestones and then added some writing to them and grass with icing.
I then lost the will to cut up and write on all the penguins needed for each cupcake I had (22 to be precise). So I topped the leftover cupcakes with buttercream, the "mud" and stole a few of my sister's marshmallow pumpkins for that pumpkin patch vibe.
Ingredients:
Cupcakes:
Betty Crocker Devil's food box mix
Buttercream:
Icing sugar
Bourneville cocoa powder
Unsalted butter
Toppings:
Cake crumbs
McVitie's penguin biscuits
White and green icing
Marshmallow pumpkins
