Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hey guys,

Long time no see. I haven't update this blog in 3 years. OMG! I stopped baking due to my mental health. I'm still struggling now, but I find baking therapeutic and I enjoy it so much again. I also started focusing on helping my sister with her passion for baking. She makes the most amazing cakes and bakes, you should follow her instagram @shenilovescupcakes.

Some things I have fallen in love with specifically is baking cookies. I'm obsessed right now especially decorating them. I'm researching and picking up tips on how to flood and decorate cookies.

Recently I have been loving this recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies. These are the most delicious and moreish cookies, they don't last long in my house.

Ingredients
2 ½ cups plain flour
1 cup of unsalted softened butter
1 cup of packed brown sugar
½ cup of white granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla extract
½ tsp of salt
1 tsp of baking soda
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate.

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (Gas mark 4).
2. Cream together the butter with the white and brown sugars. Scrape the sides of the bowl afterwards, to make sure everything is incorporated.
3. Add the eggs in one at a time, mixing in between and then add the vanilla extract.
4. Add the baking soda and salt to the flour and mix with a whisk or sifter.

5. Add the dry ingredients.

5. Add the chocolate chips and mix until distributed throughout the dough.
6. Taking a spoon or ice cream scoop, place the dough on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. 7. Bake the cookies in the oven for 8 to 12. Bake them until you see the edges getting brown. Turn the cookie sheet half way through to make sure the cookies are baked evenly.
8. Once the cookies come out of the oven leave them on the cookie sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a cookie rack to cool completely.
