Hey guys,
For my parents wedding anniversary I organised a family dinner out to celebrate. And I had come across this restaurant on a drive around South Woodford and decided that was the place we needed to go. Something new and a place that offered vegetarian options for my dad, Chimichanga mexican restaurant. I LOVE mexican food, it's probably in my top 5. Unfortunately when booking the table the South Woodford branch was booked so went to the next location on the list, Hornchurch.

The place had a great atmosphere, and very interesting mexican themed decor.
I had my usual coke, and then thought seen as I'm in a mexican restaurant I'd try a Margarita. Well what a mistake that was. Margaritas are VILE! I don't get people who get so hyped about them. I sent it back. A total waste of £5.
For my starter I had the Mexican Spring Rolls - Chicken, salsa, peppers and jack cheese rolled in a flour tortilla, fried and served with guacamole. Their guac was amazing.
For my main I got the BBQ Pulled Pork Tostadas - Layers of corn tortillas with jack cheese, peppers and onions, with your
choice of filling. Garnished with sour cream and chives.
I've never had pulled pork before and I'm not a huge pork lover but with all the shows I watch on the Food Network and Good Food it's always looked delicious. I had one of those moments when you with a side of Seasoned House Fries - which were lacking in flavour, tasted like standard fries.
I was so full from my main (which I didn't finish), I couldn't manage dessert. I didn't realise how big the servings were gonna be, so next time I wouldn't order a side of fries. You definitely get your monies worth. And what we didn't eat came home in a doggie bag. This made great leftovers.
If I had made it to dessert I would've gotten the Peanut Butter Brownie Cheesecake.
It was a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly, a bit slow at times but good customer service otherwise. And the food was DELICIOUS. I am planning on going there for my birthday in November.
S xxx
