A very simple recipe for you today...FRENCH TOAST! This is such a great breakfast/brunch treat. I've always made my french toast like this. I sometimes make the savoury version but this one is SO MUCH BETTER.I usually use just plain white bread but we had a brioche loaf at home and I thought why not? And I think I'll be making it with brioche bread from now on.
Ingredients:
Brioche loaf
1 egg
Cinnamon
Vanilla essence
Maple syrup
Crack your egg into a bowl that will fit you rpieces of bread. Add the cinnamon and vanilla.
Whisk it until its all combined.
Dip your bread into the egg mxture making sure both sides are completely coated.
Heat up your oil in a frying pan on a medium heat.
Fry until each side is golden brown.
Serve it up with maple syrup.
If you wanted to you could dust it with some powdered sugar or serve it up with some fruit.
