Here again with another post, I was gonna space them out but I just wanted to get this up today.
Ingredients:
For the marinated prawns:
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Garlic powder
- Garlic Italian
- Fish and meat sauce
For the salad:
- Iceberg lettuce
- Marinated prawns (175g)
- 1 large shallot
- 2 spring onions
- Lazy garlic
- 1/2 knorr gel chicken stock (this helps to create a sauce for the prawns)
- Oil
Method:
- Season your prawns and leave to marinate for 4 hours or overnight (I prefer to leave mine marinating overnight so it can really soak in the flavours).
- Chop up the shallot and spring onions.
- Fry the onions in a frying pan after a few minutes add a tsp of the lazy garlic.
- Add the prawns and fry for 2 minutes maximum. You could use raw prawns, it would work out better but I only had cooked ones to hand.
- Add half the stock cube and 2 tbsp of water to create your sauce. It will start to thicken slightly.
- Layer your lettuce in your serving bowl.
- Pour your prawns over the lettuce, you can mix it in or leave it as a topping. I preferred to mix it all in so that all the lettuce has the sauce on it.
This is something you will need to eat as soon as its made due to the heat wilting the lettuce. Very tasty and serves 2 people.
