Hi everyone,
I finally got around to doing a cooking post. This is just a real quick and simple Strawberry trifle. This is one of my favourite desserts, I love it.The pictures aren't fantastic because I had to use the camera on my blackberry, but you can see what I did clearly which you know is the whole point.

Ingredients::
Strawberry jelly
Madeira cake
Custard
Whipping cream
Fresh strawberries (for garnish)
For Glaze:
Strawberry jam
Water
Start off by making the jelly according to the packet. And leave to set.
Put the whipping cream in a mixing bowl and with an electric whisk until it becomes firm.
Start layering process. Starting with he Madeira cake. Not the best of presentations but no one is gonna see this haha.
Make a glaze for the cake. Take 3 tbsp of strawberry jam and 2 tablespoons of water and place it in the microwave it for 30 seconds. Once out of the microwave stir it and spread it over each layer of cake.
I didn't get a picture of the next step, not sure why. but after the cake and glaze layer you then want a layer of custard. Then just repeat the steps until you finish the layering process. You can make your own custard but I just couldn't be bothered haha and you can also make your own plain cake but again I wanted quick and simple this time round. Next time I will try and make the custard myself (which I have never done) and I'll make the cake, I'm good at making cakes so that part will be dead easy :)
Then all that is left is the whipped cream layer.
Normally you would garnish this with some fresh strawberries but I didn't have any :/

And you're done :)
I'm not gonna toot my own horn but this Trifle was so GOOD! Like seriously, my sister who isn't even a fan of trifle had 2 helpings. I was a bit naughty I had some this morning hahaha It tastes better than shop bought trifle :) I feel bad though cos I couldn't get my hands on some vegetarian jelly so my parents couldn't try it, but they would've loved it too, trifle is one of my dad's faves too.
Hope you enjoyed this :) As Christmas is coming lots of cooking shall be being done so that means lots more posts :)
There will be another post up this week because I am making Shortbread biscuits for my friends Christmas party so I will make sure I take pics of the baking process :)
